Walktober

The Walktober WalkSmart Workplace Challenge is supported by the Victorian Government through the Department of Transport's TravelSmart program and runs from Monday 27 October to Friday 31 October.

We are asking organisations to show that their business means business in the walking stakes and to see how many 'to and from work' and 'to and from meeting' car journeys staff can save in the last week of October. Victoria's Minister for Roads and Ports, Tim Pallas, MLA, was the first 'Campaign Champion' to take up the gauntlet and encourage his Department to take part, so we are asking all businesses to throw their walking shoes in the ring, get their workplace on board and get ready for the challenge!

During the challenge, staff will be asked log their daily walking trips onto the the WalkSmart website which will show 'live' counts of each organisation, the number of participants, who is above and below you, plus a constant running Top 20.
