Are you a regular walker?
Are you a regular walker? For transport or for health and recreation? Use a pedometer and make it count.
How many steps are enough? This guide gives a rough estimate, but it depends on what other forms of activity you are doing throughout the day (such as cycling to work).
Steps per Day/Activity Level
< 5000 steps - Sedentary lifestyle
5000 - 7499 steps - Low active
7500 - 9999 steps - Somewhat active
> 10,000 steps - Active
> 12,500 steps - Highly Active
Remember to be active in as many ways as you can. Walking for transport is an effective and convenient way to add some steps to your day!
