Whittlesea on Path to Sustainability

Whittlesea is a step closer to a sustainable future after launching the newCooper Streetshared pathway and Epping TravelSmart program.

Member for Yan Yean Dannielle Green MP joined Whittlesea Mayor Cr Mary Lalios to launch the $527,000 shared pathway which links public transport and Epping's major shopping and health precincts.

The event also launched Epping's TravelSmart program which will see travel plans implemented at key sites includingEppingPlaza ,NorthernHospital , Plenty Valley Health Care and three local schools.

Funded under the Victorian Government's Local Area Access and TravelSmart programs, the projects aim to increase the use of walking and cycling in the area.
