Welcome to WalkSmart!

Welcome to WalkSmart.

You aren't currently logged in -- if you're new to the site, participating in WalkSmart is easy - all you need is a pedometer and an email address - register here!

Experts recommend walking 10,000 steps per day for maximum health benefits, but any increase in daily activity will have you on your way to better health and reduce the risk of many diseases.

By registering here and logging your steps online you can achieve your own personal goal in no time!
For tips on getting started visit our Get Started section. If you have a question have a look at our FAQ or send us an e-mail.

Keeping up to date is easy; you can do it by e-mail every day, or manually enter steps on the website. You can also wear the pedometer for several days without resetting it, then when you enter the total number of steps, indicate the days you wore the pedometer and the steps will be averaged out. Don't forget to reset the pedometer after entering your data!

The WalkSmart Website also has the ability to set goals. You can set a goal of how many steps per day you want to achieve. You'll receive an update every Friday lunchtime telling you how you're going, and the goals will appear on your statistical analysis page. Use this feature to provide motivation and feedback and to help reinforce your commitment. Visit the goal setting section in the Your Progress section and set a goal today!

On WalkSmart, you can also keep track of how far you ride your bike, if you have a cycle computer.
