Stretches
Stretching is important to increase and maintain joint and muscle flexibility. It can also help prevent injuries due to overuse and poor posture.
Important things to remember when you stretch:
- Don't bounce.
- Concentrate on slow, sustained stretches.
- Breathe normally, never hold your breath
- Hold the stretch for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Once the muscle feels comfortable, gently increase the stretch, and then hold again.
